Getting Old with Bifocals
So it happened- I got old. I went to get my vision checked today and I need glasses. Okay, so I know that young people wear glasses too, but in my family it can only mean one thing- I’m getting old. We have good vision in our younger years and then you pass thirty and BAM! glasses come into the picture. I knew for a long time that this day was coming, but like everything else unpleasant in life, I avoided it for as long as possible until I grew more and more scared of my driving, especially at night. Yeah, not good when all of the signs are blurry and you can’t tell which lane of traffic you’re in! I have 20/40 vision and astigmatism, worse in my left eye. Not too bad now, but I’m sure it’ll get worse as I get older. Big sigh!
Any recommendations on where I might find a pair of relatively inexpensive glasses in Austin? Does anyone know of any deals out there?
