Nature Nights: Wild About Wildflowers- During the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s first spring Nature Nights, children and adults will explore wildflowers on garden hikes, the pollinators that visit flowers in the Wildflower Center’s theme gardens, wildflower legends and more.$1.00. Kids Decaf Club- Irie Bean coffee bar entertains your children while you relax with an excellent cup of coffee. This month’s theme is Easter, of course, with an Easter egg hunt on the back patio and Easter crafts. Saturday, 10:00am- Noon, FREE! Irie Bean Coffee Bar, 2310 S. Lamar Blvd.
Easter Bunny Extravaganza- Easter Egg Hunt for the kids with Tony Macaroni the clown, Easter Egg Decorating, and the Easter Bunny!!!! Over 40 Easter Bunnies will grace the market. Grass-fed lamb, beef, and pork all from local growers for your Easter dinner, chocolate-covered strawberries and lots more chocolate, great prepared foods for Easter Brunch, Fresh fruits and veggies! The Big Hunt- Helicopter Assists Easter Bunny Thanks to Kyle Church! The Big Hunt is not your average Easter egg hunt. There will be FREE food and drinks, prizes and giveaways, inflatable games, puppet shows, kiddy rides and, of course, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Everything is FREE! Local radio station 102.3 The River will also provide prizes and music. The first helicopter egg drop is scheduled for 11:30 am, and the second drop will occur at 12:30 pm. Get there early! Annual Eggstravaganza and Mini-Carnival- An egg hunt/ scramble, carnival and entertainment for kids aged 2-10 years old. $2 per child, .25 cent for carnival game tickets. Get there early, as it tends to get crowded, but there are plenty of eggs to be had by all. Saturday, 10:00- Noon. House Park Stadium, 15th and Lamar. Hosted by Austin Recreation Center.
Easter Egg Hunt at Austin Farmers’ Market- Items to hunt, including: cascarones (confetti stuffed egg shells) previously stuffed by children last week at the market; egg coupons to redeem for fresh-from-the-farm kid-sized carrots; and for a small treat, hand made chocolate covered cocoa beans from local vendor Kakawa Chocolate. Some of the cascarone eggs will include $2 in market bucks

Indian Lore- Hear tales of Central Texas Native American history and see a special display of artifacts in this family program hosted by J.C. Pollard. Kerr County Market Days- It’s getting close to that time in Texas when it gets too hot to do anything other than float in Barton Springs or stay locked in the comforts of your air conditioned home or office. So, I think it would be wise to do all of your outdoor activities NOW and the Kerr County Market Days sounds like a nice little road trip that promises some good old fashioned shopping! An old fashioned market on the square! Over 70 Hill Country vendors exhibiting and selling handmade arts and crafts along with locally grown plants and products. And…Buzzie’s BBQ is on site! We went to the Wildflower center last weekend… the bluebonnets are blooming, and make a great background for pics of kiddos!
