Summer Reads

Relaxing on the beach with a trashy romance novel.

Sitting for hours in the airport with a mystery that you just can’t put down.

Tucked away in a cabin by the lake with a biography of someone late and great.

Snuggled on your couch with the air conditioner set to a comfortable 60 degrees while reading I’m Okay, You’re a Brat.

What will you and your kids be reading as you wile away another sweltering Texas summer?

Share your top book picks for summer 2008 and you just might win a $20 gift certificate to Half Price Books! A winner will be randomly chosen on Friday, May 23, 2008.

  1. OMG, I absolutely ADORE anything by Sophie Kinsella especially my favorite fast read, Can You Keep A Secret“… I also love anything by Mitch Albom (Tuesdays With Morrie changed my life).

I have an English degree from UT and I STILL prefer the fun books… call me crazy! :) Have fun with your chicklit novels on the beach, Catherine!!!

  2. Little B (age 10.9) wanted me to tell you that her favorite books are:
    (1) Kira-Kira
    (2) So B. It

    Smart cookie, huh? :)

  3. michelle rosborough Says:

Right now we’re reading the Ironman comics

  4. I just finished Little Earthquakes and LOVED IT, it is the best book for new moms, now I am reading under the banner of heaven and although its good its a pretty heavy read.
