The kids are going back to school and life is about to settle back down into a more normal routine. Why not go celebrate on 2nd Street?

It’s a birthday celebration complete with champagne, cupcakes, cookies, gelato and a $1000 giveaway!! It’s also a great way to support many of our local businesses who work so hard at making the Austin experience so unique. If your kiddos want to join you, there’s gelato and a photo booth with costumes that should keep them somewhat entertained while you shop. It’s also a great time to grab a couple of your friends and head down there to do some serious non-kid shopping. For all of you expecting mamas in Austin, check out Wee- Austin’s newest modern baby shop! It’s this Thursday, starting at 5:00pm.

Please join the 2ND STREET DISTRICT in celebrating another Birthday Bash, with giveaways, summer sales, Champagne toast with birthday cupcakes, cookies & gelato, Photo booth and a $1,000 Shopping Giveaway.WIN A $1,000 ULTIMATE SHOPPING SPREE The District’s best boutiques, restaurants and services have created a stylish grand prize giveaway worth more than $1,000. Shoppers can register once at each store they visit during the event for chances to win this ultimate style spree—just in time to perk up wardrobe, home, and spirits for fall.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

· Party kicks off at 5 pm with fun throughout the District and your chance to enter to win the style spree (once in every store)

· 8 pm Champagne birthday toast, cupcakes from delish, warm cookies from Tiff’s Treats and Paciugo gelato on the Taverna patio

· Shop and celebrate ‘til you drop (or 10 pm)

· Then, continue the birthday fun with drinks and food at one of our neighborhood restaurants

All stores will be open late and serving up something special. Parking is free for the evening in the City Hall garage (entrance on Lavaca between Cesar Chavez and 2nd Street). Valet Parking is also available at the corner of Colorado and 3RD Streets, Lavaca near Cesar Chavez and (new!) 2ND Street between Guadalupe and San Antonio.
