Unless you’ve been living in a cave over the past several months, you surely know that tomorrow night is election night. What will you be doing? Will you be waiting in a very long line to cast your vote (me, guilty of not early voting)? Will you be at a friend’s house to celebrate the win with a bottle of champagne or to cry in the arms of fellow supporters if your chosen candidate loses? Will you be including your kids as much as possible by letting them stay up a little past their bedtime as the polls close across the country? Or are you planning on hanging out at one of the official watch parties that’s happening around town?

The official Texas Republican watch party will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel tomorrow night, while the official Texas Democrat party will be at The Driskill. Both of the parties are free and begin at 7:00pm.

With this being such a historic election, I think it would be kind of cool to be at a watch party with other like-minded people to share the evening with. Again, I come in with the complaint about the lack of babysitters in my life!  Does anyone know if kids are welcome at these official Republican and Democrat watch parties? I just did a very quick search on Google for some election night parties that are kid/ family friendly here in Austin. I didn’t find much of anything but will continue looking. Do you know of any restaurants, coffee shops or businesses that are having a watch party tomorrow night that will accommodate little ones?

I know, I know… I should have planned one. Next time!
