For lack of time, not ingenuity, we have sent out invitations via Evite for the Austin Bloggin’ Mama Social coming up on February 28th. If you are a mama who blogs in the Austin area and did not receive an invite, please email me and I’ll send you one! Thanks, Lori for helping with getting the invites out.

We’ve been working hard over here (thanks Sandra!!) to get a ton of items to go into the goodie bags. It’s a great opportunity for local Austin businesses to get some free advertising- something that is essential right now for many local businesses experiencing tough times. The Austin Bloggin’ Mama Social is also a great way to reward yourself for all of the sharing that you do to make this community what it is. Here are the details of the event:

Keeping up a blog is hard work with little to no pay, yet we do it anyway to share our thoughts, opinions and pieces of our lives with our family, friends and complete strangers. We rant about our children, jobs, favorite places to go (and our not-so-favorite places) and end up giving out valuable advice about the city that we live in. Our local blogs help set the tone for Austin- a city with one of the highest populations of mom bloggers! And better yet, they serve as an outlet for our passions about our businesses, families and hobbies.

LiveMom wants to reward you for all of your hard work! Join us for a night of food, wine and beer, prizes and goodie bags. All for FREE! Plus, you get to finally meet face-to-face with some of those writers behind the blogs that you follow!

Cantina Laredo is providing some scrumptious food- Salmon Tapas, Beef and Shrimp Skewers and Chicken Quesadillas, all served with fresh guacamole, queso, chips and salsa. The goodie bags are stuffed with products from local businesses all over town- Yoga Yoga, Lafe’s, Alamo Drafthouse, Betty Sport…just to name a few! We will also be giving away door prizes throughout the night. These items are of a larger value which you don’t want to miss out on! We will provide wine and the classic IF + D kiddie pool will be full of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer!

Local writer and blogger, Stephanie Klein, will be speaking at the event and signing copies of her books. Please bring your copies of Moose or Straight Up and Dirty if you would like to have them autographed, as we will not be selling any on location.
