Thursday’s Dish

Contest Recipe #4

Banana bread… one of my favorite things to make, especially in the wintertime! I am looking forward to throwing all of these ingredients into my mixer and eating a slice smeared with butter. I have four bananas in the freezer that are just waiting to be turned into bread! Thanks, Nancy for submitting this recipe.

This recipe is the easiest banana bread recipe in creation. Maybe… lol I just throw all the ingredients into my stand mixer bowl, starting with the dry ones and ending with the liquids, then mix them all together at once. Pour into 2 bread loaf pans and voila! Awesome Banana Bread. Here you go!

Throw in mixing bowl (this is the order I toss my ingredients in):

4 peeled over-ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 tbsp milk
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/4 to 1/2 tsp cinnamon (i’m not sure how much, I just shake some in, hehehe)
(you can add 1 cup of chopped nuts if you want to ruin it, LOL)

Mix on low to medium speed (it’ll be a little lumpy and that’s okay)

Pour into 2 bread loaf pans sprayed with cooking spray (Pam?) Bake in a preheated oven on 350 for 1 hour.

Perfection is yours!

  1. I hope you love it!! I’m making some today. My boys will eat both loaves by tomorrow.

  2. I know… banana bread NEVER lasts for very long at my house!
