Cedar Creek Family Festival-Kid’s activities include storytime, games, face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, free golf lessons and lots of fun for the little ones. Silent and Live auctions, Raffle, Free Food from 12:00 to 1:00, Vendor booths, several speakers from the local community, and music. All proceeds benefit local charities. FREE!! Cedar Park HeritageFestival- Live music by Jason Allen with a dance, a Championship Hamburger Cook-off, washer tournament, an arts & crafts fair, pony rides, train rides, old time photos, pony hop races, games & prizes, sack races, bake sale, petting zoo, photos with a Longhorn, stick horse barrel races, demonstrations, historical displays, food concessions, cup cake walk, contests, and much more fun. You are welcome to bring your own ice chest. FREE!!Saturday, 4:00pm. Elizabeth Milburn Park, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd., Cedar Park.

Engineering Saturday-Children and families can explore engineering first hand with activities presented in collaboration with students from UT’s Cockrell School of Engineering. Saturday, 10:00am- Noon. $4.50-$6.50. Kids under 12 months are free. Austin Children’s Museum, 201 Colorado Street.

Keep Austin Spicey Asian Food Festival-Asian food, beverage, arts & crafts, music and dance, as well as Asian cooking demonstrations. Yoga, Tai Chi and martial arts workshops. $5. Saturday, 11:00am-6:00pm. Fiesta Gardens, Lady Bird Lake.

Drawing Workshop- Children’s book author and illustrator Scott E. Sutton will be having a drawing workshop and demonstration at the library! All ages are welcome, but ages 7 and up can draw with Scott. He will also be available to sign books! FREE!! Saturday, 1:00pm. Wells Branch Community Library, 15001 Wells Port Dr.

Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic- Get your kids ready for Spring! Bring your kids to Lowe’s and they can build a fun Yard Mobile. FREE!! Saturday, 10:00-11:00am. All participating Lowe’s locations.

Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo- This is the last weekend for your family to enjoy the rodeo. It ends on Saturday! From pony rides ($4), a carnival, petting zoo, cook-offs, pig racing, live music… there is surely something to please all of the members of your family! Carnival rides cost extra. Tickets, $5 adults, $2 ages 3-12. Please check the schedule of events for exact times of particular events. Travis County Fair Grounds, Decker Lane.

Kid’s Club: The Black Stallion- A timeless story that’s every bit as loved today as thirty years ago, this is the family movie for animal-lovers, adventure-lovers, or even people that don’t love anything! World Famous Lipizanner Stallions-The 34th Anniversary tour of The “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions includes many of the traditional movements and exercises presented at the world renowned Spanish Riding School of Vienna. Many of the horses and riders who appear in this special 34th Anniversary edition were handpicked by producer Gary Lashinsky to perform in this unique family oriented arena attraction. Tickets starting at $22.50. Shows at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Frank Erwin Center, 1701 Red River.

Video Games Live!-  Back by popular demand for one night only, VIDEO GAMES LIVE, has the power & emotion of a symphony orchestra mixed with the excitement and energy of a rock concert and the technology and interactivity of a video game, all completely synchronized to amazing cutting edge video screen visuals, state-of-the art lighting and special on-stage interactive segments with the audience. Zilker Garden Festival-Live music, gardening talks, kids’ corner, flower show add to the mix, making the festival a family-friendly event. Saturday and Sunday, 10:am – 5:00pm. $5 Adults, $3 Children, Parking $3. Zilker Botanical Garden, 2220 Barton Springs Rd.

Science Sunday-  Learn to think like a scientist with Women in Engineering through fun, hands-on activities! Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm. Museum admission is free from 4:00-5:00pm. $4.50-6.50. Austin Children’s Museum, 201 Colorado Street.

2009 Celebrate Allandale Picnic in the Park- Music, Food, Arts & Crafts. McCallum Steel Drum Band, Sarah Pierce, and Bellville Outfit. March is Red Cross Month Wrap-Up Party-In celebration of March is Red Cross month, celebrate with live music, a moon bounce, an Austin Toros kid zone, a firetruck for the kiddos to check out, local restaurants and door prizes.
