Need a Nanny?

It’s not always easy to find a nanny or childcare provider who fits in so nicely with the dynamics of a family. When you do find one, it’s incredibly difficult to let them go for whatever reason. Helping the nanny find another family to help is the least you can do, right? An email came in from Kristina, she writes:

I have (seriously) the GREATEST nanny in the world… and we have to let
her go because my mother-in-law will be moving to Austin from Minnesota.
It took us awhile to find such a great nanny – and I would like to help
both our nanny and another family that may be looking make a match-up.

We shared with our FABULOUS nanny the news that her last day with our
family is going to be June 12th.  My mother-in-law is moving in with us,
and will be taking care of my daughter (and our soon to arrive second
child), so we will no longer need a nanny.

Our nanny, Raquel, has been with us for almost a year — and it breaks my
heart to let her go.  Our daughter and Raquel have a special bond, and it
is going to be tough for both of them.  Raquel has been a DREAM!  Beyond
taking great care of our daughter, including taking her to play-dates, the
park, story time, teaching her Spanish, etc… she helps keep the house in
order including dishes, family laundry, dusting, and vacuuming, along with
watching after our dogs too!  Seriously, we would have not survived this
last year without her.  Raquel is always on time to work, speaks English
well, and willing to help out on weekends when asked.

Because she has been so good to us, I want to do the same and help her find
a good family for her next position. If you are interested, or know someone
who is – please let me know and by all means, pass this on!

If you are looking or know of someone who is in need of a nanny, contact Raquel at 736-0873.

  1. If she’d be interested in part-time nanny work until she finds a full time position, I’d love to speak with her!
