Movies in the Park- Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy watching Iron Man in the park. FREE!! Pre-show activities begin at 7:30 with the movie beginning at dusk. Old Settlers Park, 3300 E. Palm Valley, Round Rock.
Joe Morale’s Kid’s Jazz Concert- Enjoy this FREE concert at a local coffee shop with special guest MC Overlord. Friday, 6:00- 8:30pm. Ruta Maya Coffee Shop, 3601 S. Congress Ave.
Music Under the Star- Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and your entire family for FREE live music, food from Rudy’s Bar-B-Q, Mighty Fine Burgers, Blue Bell Ice Cream and Sweet Leaf Teas- while supplies last. The popular summer concert series for Austin families is back for four Fridays in July. This Friday’s performance is byTiburon, a Salsa/ Latin jazz band. There will also be dance lessons and a performance by Salsa Candela. Friday, 6:00- 9:00pm. Museum admission is free and parking is free during this period. The Music Man- The 51st Annual Zilker Summer Musical is back! The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood- A frantically funny, Monty Python-esque retelling of the classic, starring a narcissistic man in green, an obsessive-compulsive lady in waiting, and a group of dimwit Merry Men. Fun for all ages, great for kids! $10 adults, $8 children under 12 and seniors. Friday, 7:00pm and Saturday, 2:30pm and 7:00pm.

Theatre at the J- Watch two special family-friendly performances with kids who participated in the Summer Youth Musical Production Workshop: Into the Woods on Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 7:00pm and the classic Cinderella will be performed on Sunday at 2:00pm. Splash Party Movie Night- Every Saturday night during the summer enjoy a movie while splashing in the spring-fed pool at Deep Eddy. This week’s movie is Willy Wonka. Saturday, beginning at dusk. Concessions are available. Movies are free with regular pool admission. Deep Eddy, 401 Deep Eddy Ave.
Bring Out Your Inner Astronaut- Featuring a space-age schedule of cool astronaut and spacewalk games, solar system crafts and trivia, and other out-of-this-world activities, it’s the most fun you’ll have all summer! Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park- Pack a picnic, bring the entire family and your friends to listen to FREE music by different ensembles of the Austin Symphony.
