Skating on the Plaza- Enjoy a round or two in the rink on Austin’s first and only outdoor ice skating rink on the Whole Foods rooftop plaza! Friday (10:00am- 8:00pm on New Year’s Day), Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am- 10:00pm with the last skating session beginning at 9:00pm. Tickets, $10 per person for one hour, includes skate rental. Texas Christmas Carol- A unique musical-variety Christmas show featuring The Biscuit Brothers, Tosca String Quartet, Nine-Minute Nutcracker, Amazing Grace Gospel and more! Ticket prices begin at $10. UT Women’s Basketball Kids’ Day- Bring the kids out to watch the UT Women’s Basketball team play Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Kids, 18 and under, admission is FREE with an adult ticket. Saturday, 11:00am. Frank Erwin Center, 1701 Red River.
Sculptor to Be: Workshop for Kids- Join teaching artist Sheila Flemming – work with parallelograms and balsa wood to create prismatic sculptures! Saturday, 1:30- 3:00pm. For children ages 7 – 11. BookKids Storytime- You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out, you come into storytime this morning and we’ll read aloud! Sunday Morning Kid’s Show- Enjoy a performance by Jungle Jill and the Jaybirds! FREE!! Sunday, 10:30am. Ruta Maya Coffee Shop, 3601 S. Congress Avenue.
Story Soup- Put your suggestions in the pot – we’ll stir it up and show you what we’ve got! Storytime for the adventurous!
