Preemie Power Family Celebration

Mamas, mark your calendars for this Sunday, November 14th, 2010 to celebrate the power of preemies!

The event, which will benefit the local non-profit Hand to Hold, also coincides with Central Texas’ region-wide NICU reunion that will celebrate the accomplishments of NICU graduates, their families, and the many medical providers who have supported them throughout their journey. November also happens to be Prematurity Awareness Month.

The Preemie Power Family Celebration is FREE, open to the public and will feature a super hero theme with bouncy houses, carnival games, music, crafts, and a birthday cake to help celebrate Hand to Hold’s first birthday! Local neonatologist and former preemie, Dr. John Loyd, will serve as the “Master of Preemies” and will have the honor of announcing the winners of the Preemie Power Photo and Essay Contest, which will be judged by local celebrities.

The celebration is from 1:00-3:30pm in the gymnasium at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Drive in North Austin.
