Becker Elementary 2nd Annual Pachanga Dance Party

Becker Elementary, the oldest elementary school in South Austin, will welcome families to the second annual Pachanga Dance Party Friday, February 8, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, Pachanga will showcase the unique community of the free dual language school with the DJ skills of El John Selector and a dance performance by students of Flamencura Music & Dance.

“I’m honored to be a part of the Becker Elementary Pachanga Dance Party,” El John Selector, who has performed with Thievery Corporation and Austin institution Poi Dog Pondering, says. “Not only am I a father, but I also live in the neighborhood. I’m proud to support this historic school by being a part of a fabulous night of music, multiculturalism and rockin’ family fun!”

Parents and children of all ages will get their groove on in the Becker gymnasium, while those who need to rest their feet can enjoy kid-friendly food, a Valentine’s Day themed craft area sponsored by Livemom.com and capture the night in a photo booth from Fun Loving Photos.

Sponsors include Wildflower Organics, Livemom.com, Fun Loving Photos and PR by Tara Hall.

You can RSVP on the Facebook event page or just show up for a night of family fun. See you there!
