Giveaway Winner and Update

Congratulations goes out to scbarlowscott for winning the $50 gift certificate to Cookies In Bloom from last week’s giveaway! Thanks for using the LiveMom Forum. The forum is a great way to connect with other moms in Austin. You can ask questions, give advice, look for child-care, post a local Austin review…. it’s your voice that powers LiveMom and we want to hear it!

Do you know what would make a great Mother’s Day gift? A feature on LiveMom. That’s right, you can recommend another mom to be part of a special Mother’s Day feature. Tell me who you would like to see featured and why. I will be working on some giveaways for these special women as well, so get your nominations in now. As always, if you have recipes you would like to share with the LiveMom community, please send them my way and I will be happy to post them in Thursday’s Dish. Same goes for any Austin mom bloggers out there- if you would like a link added to your blog and the chance to have it featured, send me a link. No strings attached!
AdvertisementOn a side note, I’ve met some really amazing people this past month. It’s been an incredible process- learning more about the men, women and businesses that make Austin such a wonderful community. I am looking forward to featuring many of these people and businesses in the coming months. I took a tour of The Rise School of Austin last week and was very touched by what I saw. A community in itself that is working towards one primary goal of raising successful children, some with disabilities and some without, in a supportive, nurturing environment. I encourage you to check this place out and to thank the entire staff for their hard work and dedication.

Don’t forget- there is another giveaway going until tomorrow! It’s a beautiful hand-turned wooden pen and would make a Mother’s Day gift!!
