Event: Children’s Climate March


Junior Scout Troop 471 is organizing a Children’s Climate March for April 25th which is supported by two City Council Members, Save Barton Creek Association, the Sierra Club, the City of Austin Music Office, and Austin Audio Co-op.

The organizers would like to invite children and families city-wide, not just scouts. The purpose of the march is to demand a safer and healthier environment for our kids.

What:     Children’s Climate March
When:    Saturday, April 25th, starting at 9am
Where:   Meet on the south steps of the Texas State Capitol building
Schedule of events:
9am RallyAdvertisementSinging and learning “Do It Now”, our climate song
Prizes for “floats” (decorated wagons and strollers)
Prizes for signs
Signing notes to politician
Local music talent
Visit by a mystery guest who is most affected by the polar ice caps melting
Mother Earth
March down Congress.
