
We all know it gets hot in Texas during the Summer months. A simple fan can help bring relief from the heat to seniors living without air conditioning. On June 17, 2016, Austin’s favorite music, food and on-air talent will come together for Fan Fare Friday.
Family Eldercare’s Fan Fare Friday began in 1990 as a way to bring relief from the heat to Central Texas residents. Now in its 26th year, Family Eldercare has delivered over 80,000 fans! Join KXAN’s Jim Spencer, KGSR and BobFM on-air talent and a fantastic roster of local musicians from 7 a.m. to midnight at the iconic Threadgill’s World Headquarters in downtown Austin. Drop off fans or funds and stick around for great food, live music and fun for all ages!
Entertainment includes:
On-site donation acceptance begins at 7 am.
(donations of $15 or a new fan)
Pancake Pileup – 7-9 am
Kid’s concert with Joe McDermott and Mr. Will – 9-11 am
AMD Gaming Stations – 9:30 am – 2 pm
KGSR Music Lounge featuring The Wind + The Wave – Noon – 2:30 pm
Happy Hour – 4-6 pm
If you can’t make it to the downtown location, head to Cover 3 in Round Rock for happy hour specials.
