Scott & White Hospital – Round Rock will host Healthfest 2014 on Sunday, March 23, from 1–3 p.m. The whole family is invited to enjoy an afternoon of free health and safety demonstrations and interactive learning.
Family Activities:
- Meet special guest Colt McCoy, the San Francisco 49ers Quarterback
- Discussion of personal/home security with the Round Rock police department
- Meet the Scott & White emergency department team and concussion center staff
- Live cooking demonstrations, with samples of healthy recipes
- Review child car seat and car safety for the whole family
- Receive bike safety and maintenance tips from the pros at REI
Kids’ Activities:
- Take your photo in a vintage Packard police car
- Bring in your favorite stuffed animal for a check-up at the Teddy Bear Clinic
- FREE bike helmets from the Texas Medical Association Foundation for the first 100 kids
- Build fun, healthy snacks at a hands-on nutrition workshop
