Mozart’s Coffee Roasters’ popular holiday lights show is back! Starting on Friday, November 20, 2015 and running through the first week of 2016, head over to the coffee shop’s outdoor deck to enjoy a 12-minute long celebration of the holiday season with sounds and lights! The show begins at 6pm and replays, on the hour, until closing time. Mozart’s is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so the lights show will not take place on those days.
The lights show changes each year, and typically includes popular songs, Christmas songs and Austin or Texas-themed music. The show is quite popular, so to avoid crowds, head out early and allow ample time for parking. There are only a few spaces in the parking lot right next to Mozart’s, so you’ll probably need to park across the street in Oyster Landing, which can be as much as a 10 minute walk. In the past, we have had a 5pm dinner at Hula Hut and then headed over. In addition to coffee, there is a broad array of treats, such as pastries, pies and even ice cream, although the line during the lights show can be formidable.
There are stations set up to sell different flavors of hot chocolate, which can give kids just the incentive to stick around until the lights show begins.
