Every second Saturday of the month, The Contemporary Austin offers hands-on art-making workshops and activities for families at its Laguna Gloria site, inspired by the exhibitions on view.
This month, families can peek inside the past life of Laguna Gloria’s historic Driscoll Villa and time-travel with The University of Texas Museum Theatre students, who will bring works of art in the Strange Pilgrims exhibition to life. Families may make a fascinating, photo-inspired project to take home and can enjoy the lush, 14-acre art-in-nature site all afternoon.
Museum grounds, art activities, and performances are open to all guests and available free of charge, thanks to the financial support of Homeaway. Art-making supplies may be limited and art activities are first-come, first-served.
