The Art in Public Places program is proud announce the 2015 TEMPO projects! The TEMPO program allows artists to explore a range of themes suitable for the outdoor environment and provides the opportunity for innovative, thought-provoking artwork that impacts the way people experience their environment. See photos of TEMPO projects here.
The kick-off celebration for this year’s program of temporary art installations is taking place on Saturday, August 22 at Boggy Creek Greenbelt Park, 1114 Nile St. at the site of ‘Omission,’ a one-day installation by artist Juan Deleon. The event will take place from 10am until noon. Meet the artists, stay for the art!
There will be breakfast tacos for the early birds, plus bubble-blowing in honor of Deleon’s large-scale, inflatable artwork. You’ll also get a peek at the rest of the temporary artworks scheduled to go up around town through the end of the year.
