Guess what’s happening this weekend?! The Future Craft Collective Back-to-School Clothes Swap! As a lover of free and/ or cheap clothing, this is the place to be to satisfy my yearning to shop without having the guilt that goes along with coming home with bags of new clothes and the exorbitant amount of money that usually goes along with it. I’ve gone the last two years (this year’s swap is the third one), but sadly, I may not be able to make it to this one. So, go with the spirit of Catherine by your side, swapping ’til your heart’s content.
Wondering what to do or bring? It’s simple. Bring clothing that you no longer wear- infant, children and adult- to the swap and then pick out more to take home! Even if you don’t have any old clothes to bring along, you can still go get new ones! It’s a great opportunity to clean out the closets and refill them with some new duds. There will also be silk screening and sewers on-hand to help you create something new out of something old or to tweak something to make it just right for you. All items are sorted by gender and size which makes it very easy to sort through.
Wondering what the cost is for a day of swapping clothes? It’s free with a suggested donation of $2 at the door to benefit the Zilker Green Team.
