Giveaway: Barton Hill Farms Family Four Pack

A slight change in the weather- a mere 10 degrees cooler- makes me want to partake in all things fall. Is it because it gets so dang hot here in Austin over the summer? Or perhaps it is the fact that fall is fun! I get giddy thinking of pumpkin carving, soup-making, scarf wearing, and all of the candy that I will get to consume as we get closer to Halloween.

One of our favorite events that we went to in the fall of last year was Barton Hill Farms. A nice drive on winding country roads, about twenty minutes from Austin, leads you to a fall oasis complete with pumpkins, a 5-acre Willie Nelson-themed corn maze (there is a 1-acre maze for the kiddos), hay bales for fall-tastic photo opportunities and more.

Ha! Find your way out of that.

Co-owners Craig Swanson and Andrew Taft have worked hard to make their farm a memory maker in your family’s history book. The farm is set on the banks of the picturesque Colorado River and is complete with tree swings hanging from 100-year old cottonwood trees, a barrel train, jumping pillow, a huge sandbox that is in the shape of a fifty-foot replica of the Lively, an early Texas maritime schooner, pumpkin painting, farm animals, a replica of Fort Wilbarger, an 1800s era Texas Fort for children and adults to enjoy, beer, wine and food. You will be hard pressed to walk away disappointed.

There’s even an old pickup beckoning you to take pictures of your kids in it.
