– Mud Show (yes, it’s kid-friendly)
– Knife Throwing
– Sword Lessons
– Falconry Show
…. And SO MUCH MORE! See the entire list of entertainment here.
Food and Drinks
A Renaissance Faire just wouldn’t be a Renaissance Faire without food and drinks, and the folks at Sherwood do not disappoint in this category. There’s the traditional food that you can expect to find at a faire including turkey legs, sausage on a stick, gyros and more. If you want to dive a little deeper into the food scene at Sherwood Forest Faire, try out tasty items such as: oysters on a bun, Shredded Troll, Dragon’s Toe, Sorcerer’s Surprise (yum!) and more.
To quench your thirst, beverages include water, soda, lemonade, beer, wine and mead. There are plenty of tables, many offering shade, spread throughout the area to sit and enjoy your food and drinks while watching the magic that happens all around you.
Tip: The lines can get a bit long, especially closer to the late afternoon when the park starts to fill up. If you are bringing kids along, it may be a good idea to buy 2-3 drinks at a time so you don’t have to stand in long lines too often.
While the Faire is only 35 miles from Austin, it’s always our recommendation to be sure to have a designated driver along for the ride so you and your family make it home safely.
If you’ve been on the fence about heading out to this faire, LiveMom highly recommends it. It’s small enough to navigate with kids without getting completely wiped out by the end of the day but big enough to be a crowd pleaser for all ages.
