Starting this Saturday, you can see the Cinderella story in a whole new way. Cenicienta, a co-production by ZACH Theatre and Teatro Vivo, with Glass Half Full Theatre, is a bilingual stage-adaptation of Cinderella, infused with found-item puppetry, Mexican culture, and humor. In the play, Cenicienta learns to embrace her culture, familia, and the power of language to unlock her true potential. Co-written by Caroline Reck of Glass Half Full Theatre and Rupert Reyes of Teatro Vivo, Cenicienta can be easily understood by Spanish and English speakers alike. Recommended for ages 5+ years old.
Public performances of Cenicienta will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from April 18 to May 23, 2015. There will be a sensory-friendly performance on Sunday, May 17 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place on ZACH’s Whisenhunt Stage. Tickets start at $12.
