Holiday Parades in the Austin Area

Holiday ParadesIt’s my favorite time of year…. for parades and lights, brightly lit trees and sweet treats, festive gatherings and precious time spent with friends and family. Two of my family’s NEVER MISS events in Austin are the Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade and the Pflugerville Pfestival of Lights & Christmas Parade. Somehow, I manage to get teary-eyed at both; Chuy’s for the amazing amount of toys that are tossed into the trucks to make the lives of kids without as much a little brighter during the holidays, and Pflugerville’s Pfestival of Lights Parade because it brings such a classic small town nostalgia feeling. I’ve yet to attend the other two on this list, but I am pretty sure they won’t disappoint either.
