The mulch can also be purchased by contractors and non-residents for $5 per cubic yard. The center is open from Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is closed on Sundays.

Local businesses can also drop off their Christmas trees, and for a small fee ($15 per truckload), businesses that sell Christmas trees can recycle their leftovers as well. For more information, contact Forestry Manager Emsud Horozovic at 512-218-5540.

  1. September 18, 20;snnbsp1&&b2p;6:20 pm by Jodi Adkins Craig,Not only was that heartfelt, beautiful, true and yes did make me cry. I think that was the most honest thing you could share. Very very cool. I know the feeling of wishing we had do overs in life, especially with our kids, I know I do. But the one thing I know for sure is how much I love my kids and it is obvious in all you do how much you love yours. They are blessed to call you dad. Thank you for sharing your story.
