International Dance Day Classes at Ballet Austin

On Sunday, May 4, 2014, Ballet Austin’s Butler Community School serves as the local venue for International Dance Day, an event to celebrate Dance, to revel in the universality of this art form, to cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers and bring people together with a common language – Dance.


Dance fans of all skill levels are invited to participate in featured International Dance Day classes covering beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels at Ballet Austin’s Butler Dance Education Center, 501 West Third Street. Ballet Austin’s participation in International Dance Day aligns with the Butler Community School’s focus on engaging, educating, and empowering people of all skill levels and backgrounds to adopt healthy lifestyles through dance and regular physical activity.

Butler Community School classes are offered seven days a week with dance styles ranging from jazz, hip hop, hula, dance fitness, an award-winning Pilates Center, and more.  With over 5,000 students of all ages taking classes at the Butler Dance Education Center facility in the last 12 months alone, Ballet Austin’s open class community school and ballet academy comprises one of the largest dance training centers in the U.S. associated with a professional ballet company.
