Ready for a change in scenery? Landa Park is just a quick 50-minute jaunt down I-35. Nestled in the shadow of the Wurstfest Halle, Landa Park is a 51-acre oasis full of large oak trees that sits on the banks of the Comal River. From tubing and swimming to picnics and even a train ride…Landa Park is a great way to have some summer fun outside of Austin.
Our first stop was the Miniature Train. It takes about 15-minutes to wind through the park. Bonus points for having a canopy on top of the cars to keep you nice and cool.
Cost: $3 per person
Children under one (1) are free
Cash only

Next up was renting a paddle boat at Landa Park Boathouse. Rides require a minimum of two people and will make your calves burn if you haven’t done it in a while!
Cost: $3 per person (minimum of two (2) people) per one-half hour
Children under two (2) are free
Cash only
In addition to the items above, Landa Park also has a miniature golf course, City Tube Chute, nature trails/wildlife viewing areas, and more.
Landa Park is very well-shaded, with sprawling oaks creating a comfortable canopy over the park’s abundance of picnic tables. With better planning, we would have brought a picnic lunch and spent some more time exploring. Although entry to the park and parking is free, there is a fee associated with picnic table rentals.
