Date night. Remember that? You know, those rare occasions when you have a chance to converse with your significant other without being interrupted 100 times. When you can go out to eat dinner at a place with “real” napkins. When you can escape the dishes and the laundry and come home feeling a little more centered and ready to take on whatever life throws at you.

All Things Kids in Georgetown and at the Domain holds Parents’ Nights Out every Saturday from 6-10pm for potty trained children. Trained, bonded, licensed professional baby sitters engage your child in games, arts, crafts and playtime. There is no age limit, but only 12 children are hosted at a time, and you can reserve your children’s spot online. $5/child per hour.

Anderson Mill Limited District holds a Parent’s Night Out on the third Saturday of the month for children ages 4-12. Online registration is available. Minimum of 6 participants needed. $15 for the first child, $10 for each additional child (same family). Send your child with snacks, a water bottle and closed toed shoes. Check-in begins at 6pm, and pick-up time is no later than 10pm.

Brushy Creek MUD offers a Parents Night Out once a month on a Friday from 5:30-10pm. Children must be potty trained. Kids will enjoy sports, dinner, crafts, games, playground time and a snack. Advance registration is required and space is limited. Members and residents receive a discount. Contact Customer Service at (512) 255-7871 or register in person at the Community Center.

Cafe Monet has a monthly Kid’s Night Out program on the first Friday of each month at all 3 locations: Westgate, the Triangle and San Marcos. Kid’s Night Out is for kids 6+ during which we do a project (for example a mosaic or painting a piece of pottery) and the kids get to have pizza for dinner. The event costs $25, and runs from 6-8:30pm. RSVP is required by phone at the desired studio.

Capital Gymnastics hosts Kid’s Night at three locations on two Friday evenings a month (Cedar Park, Pflugerville and Parmer). Pre-registration is required. Kid’s night is open to potty trained kids ages 3-9. Early registration is $25, and siblings are $20. Activities vary, depending on location, but price includes dinner. Champions Gymnastics & Cheer offers Parents’ Night Out one Saturday a month from 5:30-9pm. At Parents’ Night out, kids can play on a full spring floor, trampoline, balance beams, bars, obstacle courses and more. Children who are walking up until 10 years old can participate, and 6th-8th graders can choose to be a Junior Helper. You can send your child with food or order food. $18 per child plus annual $35 Special Events fee. Optional pizza dinner with a healthy side is $5 extra/child. Optional late stay until 10:30pm is $7 extra/child. Children under 3 and not potty trained are an additional $10 charge. Register online.

Clubhouse for Kids is a state-licensed drop-in hourly childcare center with FBI background checked employees who have CPR and First Aid training. Children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years can be dropped off during operating hours. Mondays through Thursdays, the center is open until 10pm. Crenshaw Athletic Club has a Kid’s Night Out once a month for ages 5-11 which includes a late evening snack and a drink. JCC Austin hosts Saturday Nights at the J for children in kindergarten through 5th grade once a month. Kids get to play, eat pizza, participate in games, enjoy the gym and work on art projects. Different themes include: flashlight tag, baking, games, classic movies, costumes, and mystery night. Nonmembers are $36, members are $27, and siblings receive a 50% discount if attending the same night. Journey Martial Arts hosts a Parents’ Night Out periodically for children ages 6-11. Certified instructors and staff will supervise children as they play games, watch movies, eat and have martial arts fun.
