Shop Local: Cherrywood Art Fair (and a GIVEAWAY)

Attention all holiday shoppers!

Cherrywood Art Fair has cherry-picked the top 89 selected artists and makers in Central Texas providing an attractive option to sustainable quality shopping for all you celebrating the holiday spirit. For two days, December 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you will find everything from – photography, art, woodwork, home décor, fine art, fashion accessories, jewelry and so much more — all within the friendly walls at Maplewood Elementary School (3808 Maplewood Ave.).

Cherrywood Art Fair will also feature some great music for everyone with a lively music line-up featuring some of Austin’s most popular musicians who will supply a fun soundtrack for visitors as well as a peek at the second generation of Austin’s showmen. And have we mentioned that there will be a food court filled with eclectic local food truck purveyors and fun interactive family activities?

The Fair’s organizer, Chula League, is committed to keeping the fair Free and open to all ages. This daytime, alcohol-free event keeps its “cool factor” running on caffeine and hot cocoa, while attracting Austin’s tastemakers and trendsetters.

For baby:

Adorbz: Serious duds for the mini people in your life. Adorbz is powered by the mom and daughter team of Nicole LaBry and Cindy Hill, Adorbz helps little people make a statement. Cost range: $16-$62.



Love the baby: Vintage-inspired soft baby goods including bibs, knitted washcloths, embroidered toys, quilts and more. From her farmhouse in Lufkin, Texas, artist Allison Moss creates treasures for your small bundle of joy. Cost range: $12-$110.



For Her:

Metalsgirl: Just about every woman loves jewelry. And it seems, each has a very distinctive taste. Luckily, Metalsgirl has an amazing series of collection that make the gift shopper’s life a lot easier. Cost range: $10-$110
