The Hyatt Regency Austin, the Texas Watermelon Association, and Go Texan are teaming up to host the third annual Slice of Texas free watermelon promotion July 4thfrom Noon until 6:30 pm (or until the watermelon runs out).
Beginning at Noon on the scenic, mist-cooled back patio of the Hyatt’s Marker 10 bar and lounge just off the Lady Bird Lake Trail, visitors can cool off with free watermelon slices. There will also be special watermelon-inspired menu items on the patio: such as watermelon-glazed pork chop and sushi, with pecos watermelon and yellowtail roll, all prepared by Hyatt Regency Austin’s Executive Chef Paul French. There will also be cool and refreshing watermelon drinks from the bar.
