Returning to its Austin roots, Angels Sing will celebrate its theatrical release with a red carpet benefit screening at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane on November 3, 2013 with a Texas-sized lineup of musicians. Ronald McDonald House Charities, in collaboration with Cowgirl Up Entertainment and LionsGate, present a benefit screening with film talent and musicians walking the carpet to include: Willie Nelson, Bruce Robison, Ray Benson, Joel Guzman & Sarah Fox, Marcia Ball, Sara Hickman, Ms. Lavelle White, Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, The Trishas, Joe Morales, and Sarah Smith.
Angels Sing will host an after-party celebration at the Rattle Inn following the screening where guests will enjoy BBQ by The Salt Lick, Margaritas by Patron, and music by Bruce Robinson, Marcia Ball, The Trishas and other cast members from the film.
The film, based on the novel “When Angels Sing” by Turk Pipkin, opens across the country and here locally at the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane on November 1, 2013. Starring Harry Connick Jr, Willie Nelson, and Connie Britton, as well as cameos and performances by many Austin musicians, it’s a holiday film you won’t want to miss!
