Ashley’s Playhouse

Ashley’s Playhouse is a drop-in childcare center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Creative Side Jewelry Academy

Creative Side Jewelry Academy, the top jewelry crafting and metalsmithing school in central Texas, is now offering our Young Metalsmiths Programs for
ages 10-16 yrs old! The camps introduce the ancient craft of metal working to your budding artist. Classes are open to all skill levels, ages 10-16 and provide a safe and creative environment. Students learn fundamental metalsmithing techniques and get lots of great hands on experience at the jeweler’s bench. The camp is led by professional artist and educator Lindsay Hendricks. Under her guidance, students will increase fine motor skills while they learn sawing, riveting, filing, hammering, drilling, and much more! Students will create multiple pieces throughout the camp and be encouraged to develop their own designs. A kit with materials and a sketch book are included in class fees.

The Creative Side family is excited and honored to open up this world of jewelry making to our young metalsmiths! The gratification the students receive after creating their own design from start to finish is irreplaceable. Creative Side and the kids will host an art show at the end of camp where
parents and family will be invited to join us to meet the instructors, new friends, and view their artwork on display.

Fantastic Magic Camp

School of Rock: Little Wing

For Little Rockers aged 3-5 at WAYA. Camps include activities from School of Rock’s Little Wing program, special instruments to explore, music themed art projects and fun games.  A snack will be provided, please send packed lunch with student. The Little Wing program helps children understand concepts like rhythm and melody and introduce them to the language of music. Camps will feature movement games set to some of the most popular music from the like of The Beatles, Bob Marley, The Who and Queen and instructors will lead activities intended to spark creativity.
Little Wing offers real musical experiences that will encourage:

Sportball

Sportball is an educationally based sports curriculum that allows children to explore and learn the skills of eight popular sports: soccer, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, golf, and tennis. Using creative instruction and positive encouragement, our programs focus on the development of gross motor skills along with balance, strength, coordination, stamina, and timing. The equipment that we use is age appropriate and sized just right for the children in our programs. At Sportball your child will improve his or her kicking, footwork, throwing, catching, batting, dribbling, and scoring skills. TexARTS

TexARTS Summer Camps offer full-day, half-day and mini camps in dance, theatre, voice and visual arts. The year’s summer musical production will be “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” (June 8-25, with public performances June 19-22).  TexARTS will offer two theatre intensives – “The Cinderella Chronicles,” and “Puss In Boots.” The “Best of” camps allow students to learn songs, scenes and choreography from various Broadway shows including “Wicked,” “Frozen” and other kid friendly hits. Students ages 2 – 4 can take part in the fun by enrolling in a Mini Camp.

Thinkery

Thinkery Camp programs provide a creative, safe and challenging environment for campers to expand their problem solving potential and have a whole lot of fun. Children in pre-k through 5th grade engage in playful learning experiences to develop critical thinking skills in a collaborative environment. Plus, each camper receives a cool Thinkery Camp t-shirt!
Thinkery camps offer hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) as a platform for innovation. Each week-long program offers a variety of fun mental and physical challenges that activate campers’ creativity. Campers answer their questions of “how” and “why” through interactive experiences  designed to keep them exploring, creating and moving.
Camps are divided into three age groups (pre-k-k, 1st-2nd grade and 3-5th grade) to provide the most developmentally appropriate environment for them to learn, grow and play.We have designed our Thinkery camp themes to grow with our campers. For all camp themes, activities and content are differentiated for each age group. As campers get older they dive deeper into STEAM principles and tackle more complex challenges and materials.

Wanna Play

Wanna Play offers themed camps for kids ages 2 and up. You can enjoy the convenience of our drop-in care before or after camps hours, the kids will have fun making friends, and joining in on the many enrichment activities going on throughout the day.
