Stress Relief : What’s Better than a Margarita?

How ’bout getting your rear kicked into gear by a couple of extreme athletes?  I’m talking bootcamp, people.  This stuff ROCKS.

I know, I know!  You’re probably scratching your head and wondering why anyone would sign up to get their rear kicked into gear as a stress reliever.  I was skeptical at first, too. I have been taking FIT Bootcamp classes for almost 12 weeks now, and I am addicted.  I have lost several inches in my waist, hips, and arms.  I have gained enough strength and stamina to be able to run my first 5k in many years.  I also have a whole new lease on stress relief.  While I still enjoy a margarita with the girls after a hectic week wrangling my little monsters, I get a lot more refreshment and stress relief from going to bootcamp classes twice a week…and I burn calories instead of sucking them down in the form of some delightfully limey ice and tequila.
AdvertisementSince the class has two instructors, the brother-sister team of Keith and Kathy, the level of training is on par with having a personal trainer.  I came into the class sporting two old injuries, and both Keith and Kathy had great advice  on how to compensate for the injuries and how to prevent further injury.  I am very happy to report that the bootcamp classes have helped strengthen me enough  that I actually have fewer symptoms from the old injuries than I did before I started.
