HAPPY BABY: EATING WELL IN ALL STAGES OF PREGNANCY

Healthy eating during pregnancy benefits your child for life! Join Tandem Midwifery in SFC’s The Happy Kitchen to learn how to make nutritious, affordable and delicious foods for all stages of pregnancy. Using locally grown produce and ingredients from SFC Farmer’s Markets, Kate Griffin and Jayme Moore will show you their top 10 favorite pregnancy foods and how to incorporate these power foods in your meals, snacks and smoothies. Kate and Jayme will discuss ways to manage common pregnancy symptoms and leave you with terrific recipes and useful pregnancy resources.
Kate and Jayme are Certified Professional Midwives who love having fun in the kitchen and teaching families how to cook with seasonal ingredients.

Join Jessica Burleson, mom and founder of BabyTasteBuds, and Angela Fritsch, WIC Nutritionist and Breastfeeding Coordinator, for this starter class on making quick, affordable and nutritious foods your baby or toddler will love. Using fresh ingredients from the SFC Teaching Garden and SFC Farmers’ Markets, we will review the nutritional needs of babies and toddlers, and show you how to make wholesome foods your child’s first and favorite foods. This is the perfect class for busy parents, caregivers or for those who are expecting children soon.
Babies and very young children are welcome to attend; childcare will be provided at no additional charge.

Join Tandem Midwifery in SFC’s The Happy Kitchen to learn how to supply your body with nutritious and great-tasting high protein foods like seeds, nuts, grains and lean meats. Using locally grown produce and pasture-raised meats from SFC Farmers’ Markets, Professional Midwives, Kate Griffin and Jayme Moore, will show you how to make protein- packed energy ball snacks; super-seedy, super-nutty granola, a seasonal stir fry and roast chicken and vegetables (with instruction on spatchcocking).
