SXSW Family-Friendly 2015 Event! 2nd Annual Family Music Meltdown


Looking for a 2015 SXSW alternative that the whole family can enjoy?  Head to the A.B. Cantu Pan American Recreation Center in East Austin for the second annual Family Music Meltdown!

Featuring a phenomenal lineup of family­-friendly musicians, this one-day festival will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, from 3 to 7 p.m. p.m. Admission and parking are FREE and no RSVP is required.  Just show up and be ready to dance the day away! Local and national acts will perform, including Big Don, The Jellydots, Gina Chavez, Ralph’s World, Koo Koo Kanga Roo and The Not­-Its. Visit the Family Music Meltdown website for the full lineup.


In addition to live music, kids can enjoy an instrument petting zoo, Woombike’s Green Machine pedal­-powered station, and more! Food and drinks by Lambert’s Foodapalooza and Italian Ice by Uncle Louie G. will be available for purchase.
