If you’re looking for a festive holiday experience, head to the Domain for twinkling lights, carolers, complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides, and a Santa experience that will delight kids of all ages. This year’s holiday set up includes a new Santa experience in addition to a fun event happening on Saturday, December 3rd. Don’t miss out on the holiday fun happening all season long at The Domain!
Visit with Santa
Kids of all ages will enjoy the ‘Beneath the Tree’ Santa experience, set up in Domain II across from iPic Theaters and The Brass Tap. Families can visit Santa inside a nearly 18-foot-diameter toy drum positioned directly underneath a 40-foot Christmas tree. Once inside, visitors are struck by the tree’s 135 strobe lights and 27,200 LED miniature shimmering lamps visible through the toy drum’s 10-foot clear ceiling. Learn more here.
Complimentary Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride under the holiday lights each Friday and Saturday night from 5:30-9:30pm through December 23, 2016. Pick-up locations near California Pizza Kitchen and The Brass Tap.
Elf Academy Event
Don’t miss The Domain’s Elf Academy, a family celebration of the holidays and all-things-elf on Saturday, December 3rd from 3-5pm in Domain II. The free fun includes:
- Face painters
- Games with prizes
- Photo opportunities
- Eelf ID station
- Giveaways
- Letters to Santa
- Balloon twisting
Elf training is certified and recognized with an Elf Academy Diploma…and an afternoon snack!
Note: due to the rainy conditions expected on Saturday, Elf Academy activities will be moved into Domain II stores, where children can stay warm and dry. Each participating store will be marked with a balloon column and we’ll have helpers on hand to guide you.
Holiday Light Shows
Stand in awe as more than 200,000 lights and strobes dance in synchronization to holiday music! Lights shows area available nightly throughout Domain II (between Dick’s Sporting Goods & Dillard’s) at 6, 7 and 8pm through January 1, 2017.
Strolling Carolers
The sounds of the season come alive with performances by Austin Carolers in Domain I each Saturday night from 6:30-8:30pm. Carolers offered Saturday, November 26 through Saturday, December 17.
Live Music
The Domain’s year-round live music program is updated to feature holiday music throughout the season! Don’t miss these special performances on the lawn in Domain II and on the stage near North Italia in Domain I. Friday, November 25 – Friday, December 23. The live music happens on Fridays from 6-9pm, Saturdays from 2-5 pm & 6-9 pm, and Sundays from 2-5pm.
