Friday Family Fun Nights- Once is just not enough! International performer Rik Gern brings his formidable talents to bear as Bonzo Crunch, the lovable and widely celebrated kids entertainer. Bonzo Crunch has performed in Disney videos and Barney videos, and he’ll be at Kaleidoscope Toys to perform for you as part of our Friday Family Fun Night series! 52nd Annual Zilker Summer Musical- Leapin’ Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world’s best-loved musicals that’s guaranteed fun for your entire family! Bring lawn chairs and blankets, maybe even a picnic to enjoy while watching this FREE performance. Every Thursday- Sunday at dusk (approximately 8:30pm) through August 14th. $3 Parking fee per car. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe- This Youth Guild dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic novel, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting forgotten Narnia. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebrations of life. Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm, Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets, $10-$15. Storytime: Dogs Don’t Do Ballet- All dogs like to play fetch, scratch their fleas, and drink out of the toilet. But Biff isn’t like all dogs. He has bigger dreams… FREE!! Friday, 7:30pm. Barnes and Noble, La Frontera, Round Rock.

Sensory Friendly Movie- AMC and the Autism Society have teamed up to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the “Sensory Friendly Films” program. In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing – in other words, AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned. This month’s feature film is Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Saturday, 10:00am. Tickets, $5. AMC 14, Barton Creek Mall.

The Wiggles Wiggly Circus Live- The Fab Four from down under are back with this year’s most anticipated family event. It’s the smell of “Hot Poppin Popcorn”! Austin Summer Musical: Pirates of Pedernales- When four clever kids stumble across a treasure map in a museum, they embark on an adventure filled with sneaky pirates, clever challenges, and mysterious oracles.  The new show is designed for lower elementary aged children.Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am, 2:00 and 4:00pm. The show is FREE with a suggested donation of $10/ ticket. You must arrive at least 90 minutes early to get the tickets as there are limited seats available. You Can’t Take It With You- VORTEX’s Summer Youth Theatre presents You Can’t Take It With You, a comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. You Can’t Take It With You presents the world of an extraordinary family who live a celebration of individuality. Like a string of firecrackers, this play unfolds with sparkling surprises and jewels of non-conformity, honoring the values of authenticity and uniqueness in life. You Can’t Take It With You is a delightful comedy that tastes like a piece of “homemade Love Dream candy” and looks like “the most beautiful red fire in the world”.
