Sweetheart Storytime (Cedar Park) – 10-10:30 a.m.,  Join us for special Sweetheart Storytime! We’ll have stories, songs, and crafts all about love. Sweet treats will also be served. Cedar Park Public Library, 550 Discover Blvd., Cedar Park

Michael’s Kids Club: Valentine Dream Catcher10 a.m. – noon. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Just $2 per child ages 3 and up. All supplies included. All participating Michael’s locations. 

Hands-On History: Valentine’s Day (Georgetown) – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Come Celebrate Valentine’s Day by learning about past valentine traditions. Children will make their own vintage valentine. FREE! Williamson County Museum, 716 S. Austin Ave., Georgetown.

Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic – 10 a.m., Bring the kids to Lowe’s to make a FREE Valentine’s Day picture frame. RSVP required. All participating Lowe’s locations.

Hill Country Science Mill’s First Birthday Party (Johnson City) – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Help the Science Mill celebrate their first birthday with electric pickles and smoking cannons! It’s going to be an explosively fun time, featuring the UT Physics Circus and other special activities, with FREE admission all day! Exploding bottles, flying balls, an electric pickle and other science demonstrations will be in the Science Mill’s backyard from 1-2pm, courtesy of special guest, The University of Texas Physics Circus. Throughout the day, smoke ring air cannons, an interactive Lissagraph and Fruity Tunes, the Science Mill’s own large-scale interactive fruit piano will entertain the partygoers. One of the Science Mill’s silos will be converted into a slow motion photo booth. The Slowmo Silo promises silliness and fun for all ages with video and crazy props. Many activities will be outside, so bring a jacket if it’s cool! Hill Country Science Mill, 101 S. Lady Bird Lane, Johnson City.

Tomás and the Library Lady –  11 a.m. & 2 p.m., Tomás immigrates with his family from Mexico with fears of a new life and a lack of confidence in his language and culture. Then he meets a “library lady” who recognizes his thirst for knowledge and encourages him to read. Based on the true story of the Mexican-American author and education Tomás Rivera, this inspirational story suggests what reading – and self-respect – can make possible. Tickets: $16 adult, $13 child.  Zach Scott Theatre, Whisenhunt Stage, 1510 Toomey Road.

Love is in the Air Storytime – 11:30 a.m., Valentine’s Day is in exactly one day! It is a day filled with LOVE, candy hearts, roses, and twitterpation. Our storytime today will be a celebration of all things heart shaped and loving. We’ll read Guess How Much I Love You and then make valentines for our loved ones. Love is a many splendid thing and we can’t wait to celebrate by making art with you all! FREE! BookPeople, 603 N. Lamar Blvd.

Pippi Longstocking – 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Pippi Longstocking is a scrappy 9-year-old little girl who asks a lot of questions and always put bullies in their place. Along with a horse on the porch, a monkey in the kitchen and her best friends Tommy and Annika, this freckle faced, red-pigtailed, whirlwind of a girl in mismatched stockings is a delight for both children and adults. Tickets: $12 adults, $8 children. Austin Scottish Rite Theater, 207 W. 18th Street.

Black History Month Kid’s Day – Noon – 4 p.m., Join us for our first annual Black History Month Kids Day with fun activities including, crafts, and fun and games in celebration of Black History Month.  FREE! Carver Museum, 1165 Angelina Street.

Maggie Louise Confections Birthday and Valentine’s Day Bash - Noon – 4 p.m., Join in the celebration of their 1st year on east 6th and celebrate Valentine’s Day at the same time! Bring your galentines, Valentines, friends and family to enjoy chocolate sundaes and MLC’s delicious hand painted chocolate treats with bubbles and coffee for adults. Play in a Valentine’s craft workshop to create love coupons and custom cards while their chocolatiers treat your tastebuds! FREE! Maggie Louise Confections, 1017 E. 6th Street.

Darwin Day – Noon – 5 p.m., The Center for Inquiry-Austin will present a FREE event to celebrate the 207th anniversary of Darwin’s birth. There will be something for everyone—fun learning activities for children and teens, fascinating lectures and trivia contest for adults, and professional development credit for teachers. University of Texas Commons Learning Center at the JJ Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road.

PBS Kids at Alamo Drafthouse: Ready Jet Go! – 10 a.m., The Alamo Drafthouse and our local PBS station are teaming up for a family screening of PBS KIDS’ latest show, along with themed activities and giveaways.  We will enjoy three episodes from the new show on the big screen (including a sneak peak at two brand new episodes).  This is an all-ages show with Baby Day rules – noisy young fans won’t be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark. Cost: $1-3 donation. Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline, 14028 N. US Hwy 183.

UMLAUF Family Day – Noon – 4 p.m., Enjoy FREE admission with activities for the entire family including, children’s yoga, storytime, clay creations, Irish harp music, and more. UMLAUF Sculpture Gardens, 605 Robert E. Lee Road.

Jump to the Beat of Your Heart at Springfree Trampoline – 2-4 p.m., Celebrate the day of love with your entire family at Springfree Trampoline in The Domain! Sunday Funday with Staci Gray (Round Rock) – 3-4:45 p.m., Enjoy free-time play & games as well as a performance by Staci Gray.  Her FREE private concert starts at 4pm. It’s a perfect opportunity to come have some FUN and get your little ones socializing! Baby Earth, 106 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock.
