International SXSW Showcase: Austin Welcomes the World – Friday, March 15, from 3 – 7 p.m. Austin Welcomes the World features live music from around the world. Four international bands from will take the stage on Friday, including Pirates Canoe (Kansai, Japan) at 3 p.m., The Beards (Adelaide, SA, Australia) at 4 p.m., Heyerdahl (Oslo, Norway) at 5 p.m., and Bareto (Lima, Peru) at 6 p.m. This South by Southwest sanctioned event is FREE and open to the public.
