Sensory Friendly Film:Rise of the Guardians– Saturday, June 1 at 10am. AMC Theatres (AMC) and the Autism Society have teamed up to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the “Sensory Friendly Films” program. In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. Kid Fish- Saturday, June 1 from 9am – noon. Each year, the City of Pflugerville partners with the KidFish Foundation, Inc to offer an outdoor fishing opportunity for the youth of our community. Directed at children under the age of 16, Kid Fish and Texas Parks and Wildlife stock additional fish in Lake Pflugerville to boost the fishing experience for the event. Held each year, on the first Saturday of June, Kid Fish hopes to teach children a deep appreciation for the sport of fishing as well as awareness and respect for the conservation of the environment and its natural resources.
