Walking with Dinosaurs- It’s a dazzling 10 million pound arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality set to captivate young and old alike. Marvel at the story of their 200 million year domination of life on earth. Watch them walk. Hear the roar. Be there as they fight for survival and supremacy. From the ripple of their skin to the glint in their eye, you will know the dinosaurs really have returned! So make sure you have your seat to see the return of the dinosaurs! Little Helping Hands Inaugural Family FUNdraising Event- Wash your dog(s) at any Dirty Dog Grooming and Self-Serve Dog Wash in Austin and Dirty Dog will donate 50% of the service fee to Austin Pets Alive and Little Helping Hands. This fun, hands-on family activity not only benefits the furry members of your family but other companion animals in need within our community and volunteer programs of Little Helping Hands. The Domain Lighting of Macy’s Great Tree- Mark the beginning of the holiday season with a special holiday performance by Atlantic® recording artist and American Idol® finalist Jason Castro and a spectacular fireworks display. Arrive early for a fun-filled day of holiday activities including face-painting, balloon art, marshmallow roasting, holiday crafts, entertainment, and more! FREE!! Saturday, beginning at Noon with the lighting at 6:00pm. The Domain Century Oaks Terrace at Esperanza Crossing.

Lowe’s Build and Grow- A hands-on clinic that is for kids of all ages. This month’s project will be to build a Snowman! FREE!! Register online to reserve a spot. Saturday, 10:00- 11:00am. All participating Lowe’s locations.

Fangs vs. Fur- In a literary battle between werewolves and vampires, who will be victorious? Join us for a celebration of the teen paranormal genre! The event will feature “Family Feud: Vampires vs. Werewolves,” a blood bar, costume and howling contests, Twilight sock puppet theatre, werewolf and vampire movies and much, much more! FREE!! Explore the Story: Color Pattern Grid-  Tour the new exhibit A Legacy of Quilts: The Briscoe Center’s Joyce Gross Collection to see classic quilts and then watch demonstrations of contemporary quilting from Kathy York and the Austin Art Bee to compare today’s quilting with historical techniques. Quilters of all stripes will be around to share patterns and advice. Kids get the chance to design their own crafty quilt grid too! Free with museum admission. Sunday, 1:00- 3:00pm. Congress Ave.Science Sunday- Engineering students from UT will facilitate fun, hands-on math activities for the whole family from the newest exhibit, Cyberchase.
