IKEA Kid’s Day- Monday, August 19, all day. Free arts and crafts activities in our restaurant with the Girl Scouts of Central Texas. Activities are geared toward boys and girls aged 4-10. IKEA, 1 Ikea Way, Round Rock.

Ultimate LEGO Building – Monday, August 19, from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Come join us for the Ultimate Lego Building Experience! This is a come and go Lego building event. Build and race a Lego Car. Explore Music- Monday, August 19 from 10-11am. Designed to provide children with unique musical experiences, this FREE class will incorporate group play and interaction, pre-K skills (sharing, following simple directions, attending-to-task, etc.) and dancing/movement to work on gross/fine motor skills. While music is highly motivating, it can also have a calming and relaxing effect. Bring your little ones in Monday morning for activities that are designed to be success-oriented and make the children feel better about themselves!! Alamo Kids Camp – Monday through Friday. Kids age 3 and up, and their parents, can watch movies on the big screen for FREE at the following theaters: Alamo Slaughter Lane, 5701 W. Free Documentary Screening and Swim at Barton Springs - Tuesday, August 20 at 8:30 p.m. Living Springs, an interactive documentary about the history, science, culture and spiritual practices at Barton Springs will host a FREE, public screening featuring several short videos from their upcoming project. The screening will take place on Tuesday August 20th at 8:30 p.m. on the outside patio at the Beverly S. Sheffield Education Center near the north side or main entrance to Barton Springs. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. After the screening take a FREE swim in the Springs and join in the “Keep Austin Weird” tradition of howling at the full moon. Beverly S. Austin Sound and Cinema: Jurassic Park- Wednesday, August 21 at 8pm. Food trailers will be open by 7pm. The Long Center is teaming up with both Do512 and The Alamo Drafthouse to feature six weeks of unique pairings of live music and some of the most popular movies of all time on our City Terrace. Unplugged at the Grove – Thursday, August 22 at 8pm. FREE!! Summer Storytime- Friday, August 23 at 10:45am. Storytime Art, or StArt! is a great opportunity for your young child to experience art! Geared to the 31/2- 6 yer old pre-schooler, but some projects translate into a Mommy and Me project for those a little younger. And, of course, anyone older is welcome. Storytimes always include at least one book and a related art project, but often include surprises like songs, poems and coloring pages. Cost:$12 per child or 6 classes for $60. Call to register. This week’s theme is: The Kissing Hand. Our fifth year: we just can’t resist this sweet book! Join us for the last Storytime of the summer. We’ll read “The Kissing Hand,” and create a beautiful handprint tile to remember the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. This Storytime is a must for kiddos entering Kinder!
