• Baby Play Group (Round Rock) – Monday, November 3 from 3:30- 4:30 p.m. Join us every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon for Baby Play Group! • Literature Live! Presents the Dead Family Diaz– Tuesday, November 5 at 10:15a.m. A young boy from the land of the dead travels with his family up to the land of the living for Dia de los Muertos. But he’s afraid… of humans! See if he overcomes his fear in this lighthearted shadow puppet show. This show is recommended for children ages 3 and up. FREE!! • Discovery! Fantastic Contraptions (Bee Cave)– Tuesday, November 5 from 4:30- 5:50 p.m. The Discovery hands on program explores all sorts of different topics, including science, literature, and much more! Join us with special guest Chris Lopez for this hands on demonstration of Fantastic Contraptions.  Participants will be able to use the Pod computers and tablets in the library or they can choose to bring their own tablets in as well. • Lego Monthly Mini Model Build: Tractor– Tuesday, November 5 at 5:00 p.m. Visit your local LEGO Store on the first Tuesday of every month and you can learn how to build a cool mini model, and take it home – for free! Quantities are limited and offer is good while supplies last only. A new model will be available every month and will be specially themed to that month – ask a Store Associate for details! • Whole Foods Storytime– Wednesday, November 6 from 9-10:30 a.m. Enjoy a reading, an activity, and a snack! All ages are welcome, and parents can participate, too! FREE!! Whole Foods, 525 N. Lamar Blvd. on the Mezzanine.

• Music with Mar– Wednesday, November 6 from 9:15- 10:00 a.m. Music with Mar is a class where a caregiver and child (ages birth through preschool) participate together in musical activities. These classes are focused on the four main areas of development – cognitive, social, motor and language. Classes are drop-in, so no advance sign-up needed. • Hold Onto Your Hat Storytime- Wednesday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. These stylishly practical devices keep the cold off your noggin and the sun out of your eyes. • Hunger Games – Thursday, November 7 at 6:15 p.m. Movies in the Park is a FREE series brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation and presented by the Alamo Drafthouse. Dogs, picnics, and lawn chairs are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, glass and styrofoam are not permitted in the park. Smoking is also prohibited in the park, per city law. • Live Music at Central Market- Thursday, November 7 from 6:30- 9pm. Bamako Airlines is an 8-piece Afropop orchestra that melds their influences to create a dynamic, contemporary perspective of African styles of music. FREE admission, free music and play. • Upcycle This! – Thursday, November 7, from 7 – 8 p.m. Visit Recycled Reads, the Austin Public Library’s used bookstore, to create upcycled art using materials that might otherwise go into the landfill. • Interactive Storytime (Round Rock)- Friday, November 8 from 9:30 -10:15 a.m. for kid 0-18 months and 10:30 -11:15 a.m. for kids ages 18 months and up.  We will read a couple books, sing songs, jam out with musical instruments, play with a parachute, AND pop bubbles!! • Storytime Art: Dogs– Friday, November 8 from 10:45-11:45. We will have a blast reading and singing dog-themed books and songs! We’ll have a furry guest for the kids to pet, too! • Star Party (Round Rock) – Friday, November 8, from 5:30 – 9:45 p.m. Educational and family friendly! From 5:30-8:30 p.m., there will be hands-on science activities for kids and the Discovery Dome, Austin Planetarium’s mobile planetarium shows for all ages. At 7 p.m., there will be a public talk by Dr. Jim Heath of ACC Astronomy.
