Baby Bloomers - 9am to Noon., Baby Bloomers is an opportunity for children age 0-3 and their families to experience the Thinkery together in an environment focused on early learners. Guided activities like Storytime, Sing-alongs, and Little Explorers Lab time are designed to engage our youngest visitors in fun learning and investigation. Signing Storytime with The Signing Connection (Round Rock)- 10:00am – 10:30am., Join the Baby Signing Time revolution! This class is geared for children 0-5 years and their parents. Amy from the Signing Connection will lead this storytime that incorporates classic children’s books to help you learn basic American Sign Language signs. FREE! Rockin’ Kids: Art Club (Round Rock)- 11 a.m., It’s Art Week! Elementary students are welcome to explore the creative arts with open-ended projects and creative materials at the Round Rock Public Library‘s Rockin’ Kids Club for elementary students. FREE! Bilingual Storytime (Pflugerville)- 11 a.m., Build language and social skills through books, songs, rhymes, and fun. Followed by an age appropriate craft. Free! Materials available while supplies last.  FREE! Pflugerville Public Library, 1008 W. Pfluger Street, Pflugerville.

Baby Play Group at Baby Earth (Round Rock)- 3:30 p.m., We sing songs, play with musical instruments and let babies have lots of interactive, social, free-play time.  Since this class is designed for our smallest of customers to socialize, we encourage families with non-mobile, crawling and/or cruising babies to attend. LEGO Lab- 3:30 p.m., With Legos, you can build anything you can imagine and tell any story you can dream up. Come to the Lego Lab to hear, see, make, and create different stories, all while building with Legos provided by the Library! Recommended for ages 5 and up. FREE! Crafternoon- 3:30 p.m., Drop by the library and make a craft while you search for books, movies and music. We’ve got paper crafts, easy sewing and more fun projects for the whole family. We provide the supplies; you provide the creativity. FREE! APL- Manchaca Branch, 5500 Manchaca Road.

Whole Kids Club: Storytime and Craft- 9:30 a.m., Looking for something fun and free to do with the kids? We’ll be reading a new story each week! Explore Music (Round Rock)- 10:15 a.m. Designed to provide children with unique musical experiences, the 30-minute EXPLORE MUSIC class will incorporate group play and interaction, pre-K skills (sharing, following simple directions, attending-to-task, etc.) and dancing/movement to work on gross/fine motor skills.  While music is highly motivating, it can also have a calming and relaxing effect. Bring your little ones in Tuesday morning for activities that are designed to be success-oriented and make the children feel better about themselves!!  Cost:  $5/child, payable directly to the instructor, Rebecca Faulkner. Storytime at Austin Zoo- 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., Kids will enjoy a storytime in the Primate Pavillion! Included in zoo admission. Austin Zoo, 10808 Rawhide Trail.

Music with Mr. Will- 11:30 a.m. His sing-along style incorporates equal parts of teaching and performing for energetic young audiences. Infectious melodies combined with upbeat lyrics make him beloved among pre-schoolers and early-elementary students, who clap, march, jump and dance along to their favorite songs. Baby Day at The Alamo Drafthouse-  Movies before 2 p.m. The lights are up a bit, the sound is down a bit so moms and dads can head to the movies without the babies even knowing that they were at the movies. Infants are welcome to these shows, and of course, are allowed in for free. Take some time for yourself, pack up the kids, and head out to the Alamo Drafthouse for some much needed entertainment! Discovery! Writing Workshop- 4:30 p.m., The Discovery hands on program explores all sorts of different topics, including science, literature, technology, and more.  Especially designed for our older kids (third graders and up), come back each week and learn something new!Today we’ll be making time capsules! Now that we’re approaching the end of the school year, let’s draw some pictures, write some memories, and leave a record of what our lives are like in this moment. Firefighters at the Round Rock Library- The Round Rock Public Library welcomes firefighters to the Preschool Storytime, Bilingual Preschool Storytime, and Toddlertime programs this week! Meet our community helpers in a fun environment while exploring books, songs, and safety tips. And if all goes well, we’ll have a fire crew and a real fire truck to explore Thursday morning. Pachanga Fest- Saturday, May 16, Pachanga is a Latin-themed music, cultural arts and food festival dedicated to showcasing the vibrant blend of Latino-created music and art and the impact it has on American culture today. The Pachanga lineup includes rock, alternative, tejano, mariachi, cumbia, salsa, electronic, funk, hip-hop and indie rock with one singular theme, the sound is brown. Bright Horizon’s Art in the Park (Round Rock)- Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us for our 2nd Annual Art in the Park event! We’ll have lots of hands on art experiences and activities for families, along with entertainment and complimentary lunch (with RSVP). Kidgits Safe Summer- Noon to 3 p.m. Our biggest Kidgits event of the year is back! Join us as we visit with law enforcement professionals from the Austin area to learn how they work to keep us safe. Participants include the Austin Police Department Explorer Unit, the K9 unit dogs and handlers, and more! Families who attend can also make a free child ID kit and Kidgits members can pick up their special goody at the event!  Cost: $5 per child annual membershi[. Drive-In Movie: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Round Rock)- Saturday, May 16, from 8-10 p.m. New in Spring 2015 is a series of family-friendly drive-in movies at the former lumber yard at 115 E. Bagdad Avenue, on the third Saturday of the month through August. A 75-foot screen allows optimal viewing. Cost is $5 walk in, $20 per car with a $5 donation to Round Rock Junior Police Academy. Movie snacks are on sale on site.

Austin Mini Maker Faire- Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Maker Faire brings together families and individuals to celebrate the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and showcase all kinds of incredible projects. At Maker Faire, you’ll find arts and crafts, science and engineering, food and music, fire and water but what makes this event special is that all these interesting projects and smart, creative people belong together.
