Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event that benefits SAFE programs on the Austin Children’s Shelter campus. This event hosts a wide variety of vehicles for kids of all ages to play on while learning about the automobiles and how they help serve their communities. This year’s Touch-A-Truck will also feature live music, plenty of food trucks, and a Kid Zone complete with a petting zoo, face painting, barrel-train rides and much more.
Last year, Touch-A-Truck raised over $115,000 for the children of ACS and they are excited about hosting an even bigger and better event this year.
Touch-A-Truck is a fun way for families to bond as their children explore vehicles they have seen in movies, books, or just driving down the street. But more than that, Touch-A-Truck represents what ACS is all about – helping to promote happy, healthy families in our community.
General Admission is $5 per person. VIP Admission is $25 per person. VIP includes early entrance so you can skip the lines and be the first to honk all the horns! Limited quantity available!
A few tips for Touch-A-Truck 2017:
- Don’t forget sunscreen, hats, and socks with closed toe shoes (prevent biting and stinging insect bites!) for kids and adults of all ages.
- The ttruck horns are very loud! If noise is an issue, please bring hearing protection equipment.
- Traffic entering Camp Mabry settles down around 12pm. To avoid the traffic rush, join the event after 12pm!
Emergency medical staff will be available on site. If you need any assistance, go to our medical tent, or speak with a Touch-A-Truck staff member.
Touch-A-Truck will take place rain or shine, and all tickets are considered a non-refundable, 100% tax-deductible donation to Austin Children’s Shelter.
