American Robotics Academy

What does it take to create a remote-controlled robot that can walk, drive and turn in any direction? Reach out for, grab, throw or release objects on
command? Move and act as you design and build them to do? A little bit of learning and lots of fun! American Robotics Academy aims to excite, inspire and motivate children about the importance of robotics technology. Our hands-on classes offer a introduction to the fundamentals of engineering design, helping children understand “how things work.” Held in a friendly, sports-like atmosphere, students work in age-appropriate teams and learn how to design, build and test remote-controlled miniature robots. We use simple, motorized machines – all made from LEGO bricks! – to demonstrate mechanical movements and other effects.

The Art Garage

With over 25 different camps to choose from, you are sure to find something perfect for your budding artist. Younger kids can choose from fun themes like Art Around the World, Candyland and Under the Sea. In each of these camps, the campers will get to create 8-12 projects, including building with clay, painting pottery, tie-dying, canvas painting, drawing and crafts. Older elementary-aged kids can look forward to themes like Minecraft, Austin Hipster Art, Ninja Turtle Art and Japan-i-mania. In these camps we focus a little more fine art and usually include an art history component. In these camps, kids will get to focus on particular art media and have a more in-depth experience. Our camps are taught by certified art teachers and degreed, professional artists, so we are serious about art education. It is Summer, so we are serious about having lots of fun, too!

Creative Side Jewelry Academy

Creative Side Jewelry Academy, the top jewelry crafting and metalsmithing school in central Texas, is now offering our Young Metalsmiths Programs for
ages 10-16 yrs old! The camps introduce the ancient craft of metal working to your budding artist. Classes are open to all skill levels, ages 10-16 and provide a safe and creative environment. Students learn fundamental metalsmithing techniques and get lots of great hands on experience at the jeweler’s bench. The camp is led by professional artist and educator Lindsay Hendricks. Under her guidance, students will increase fine motor skills while they learn sawing, riveting, filing, hammering, drilling, and much more! Students will create multiple pieces throughout the camp and be encouraged to develop their own designs. A kit with materials and a sketch book are included in class fees.

The Creative Side family is excited and honored to open up this world of jewelry making to our young metalsmiths! The gratification the students receive after creating their own design from start to finish is irreplaceable. Creative Side and the kids will host an art show at the end of camp where

Kinderdance

School of Rock

Our comprehensive camp experience is designed to hone music performance and ensemble skills in a creative and fun environment. We use Rock ‘n Roll to teach guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keys, culminating in a live show on the final day! Beginner Camp is perfect for students who are new to their instrument. Through individual and small-group instruction, students learn basic fundamentals such as counting, playing in time and playing with others, and can try their hands at different instruments during the week. Daily rehearsals lead up to an awesome performance at the School on the final day. Performance Camps (Metal, Beatles and Led Zeppelin) are intensive rock ‘n roll boot camps for students with some lessons experience under their studded belts. Performance students receive individual and small-group instruction and rehearse daily, leading up to a rockin’ performance at an Austin live music venue on the final Saturday.

Synergy Dance Studio

Synergy Dance Studio offers three levels of summer camps—preschool for ages 3-5, school age for 4-10 yr olds and intensive camps for beginner to advanced students age 7-17. Our preschool and school age camps offer a different theme each week of the summer. Extended care is available before and after each camp and healthy snacks are provided daily. All camps will offer a parent show on Friday to show off their dances and skills learned during the week!Preschool camps, ages 3-5 years, begin at 9am and end at 12pm with extended hours offered at 8:00 and 12:00. Preschool themes this summer include Frozen, Sophia the First, Fairy Wonderland and Under the Sea. Camps include dance, crafts, gymnastics and fun games!
School Age camps, ages 4.5 -10 years, begin at 10am and finish at 3pm with extended hours available beginning at 8:00 and ending at 5:00. School Age campers will need to bring a sack lunch. Intensive camps, ages 7-17 years, focus on technique, style and skills and will be divided up by age and ability from beginner to advanced. TexARTS

TexARTS Summer Camps offer full-day, half-day and mini camps in dance, theatre, voice and visual arts. The year’s summer musical production will be “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” (June 8-25, with public performances June 19-22).  TexARTS will offer two theatre intensives – “The Cinderella Chronicles,” and “Puss In Boots.” The “Best of” camps allow students to learn songs, scenes and choreography from various Broadway shows including “Wicked,” “Frozen” and other kid friendly hits. Students ages 2 – 4 can take part in the fun by enrolling in a Mini Camp.

Wanna Play

Wanna Play offers themed camps for kids ages 2 and up. You can enjoy the convenience of our drop-in care before or after camps hours, the kids will have fun making friends, and joining in on the many enrichment activities going on throughout the day. Camp activities include art, science experiments, and games as well as free play time in our Indoor Ballroom, Imagination Playground (life size blue blocks), Wii Dance, Video games and even a Movie!
