Community Art Sunday

“Be a Courageous Ally” is the theme that will kick off Creative Action’s 2017 Community Art Sunday program on Sunday, January 22, 2017. It’s more important than ever to be an ally to our friends and neighbors, and this event features activities and performances that celebrate togetherness and positive change.

Activities include:

  • Take a slice of a “pie social” with PEACE through P.I.E., where you can enjoy free East Side Pies pizza!
  • Roll up your sleeves with DIY stamp-making and a Care Card creation station to send your support out to those who need it.
  • Experience a live performance of Creative Action’s “The Courage to Stand” and activate strategies for making a positive difference in tough situations.
  • Create a Poem Mobile centered on the theme of courage.
  • Take a “Refugee Journey” with Caritas of Austin
