Event: Fun Fun Fun Fest Family Funday, 9/5

In previous years, Fun Fun Fun Fest (FFF Fest) has hosted events such as the Aqua Olympics as well as a fan scavenger hunt, but for the tenth anniversary of the festival, the FFF Fest team is bringing a series of unique concert experiences to fans. As part of this anniversary series, FFF Fest presents Family Funday: Youth Gone Wild, an all-ages, family-friendly event on September 5 featuring a variety of activities, including a roller skating contest, a bowling tournament, a double feature movie screening presented by Alamo Drafthouse, arcade games, and a special instrument clinic hosted by Girls Rock Camp Alliance. Family Funday is FREE, but the event will take $5 optional donations to benefit Girls Rock Camp Alliance at the door.

Family Funday will also offer a chance for several lucky fans to win a pass to this year’s festival during a FFF Fest bowling tournament. Teams of four members will bowl against each other for a chance to win Ultimate Smooth Passes (USP) to the festival. Registration for the bowling tournament is first-come, first-serve and begins at 4 p.m. The event also includes special DJ sets all day from Learning Secrets, Flying Turns, DJ Bad Kitty and more.

Fun Fun Fun Fest continues to grow every year since its inception in 2006. The fest has built a reputation as one catering to a vast array of music genres, including indie, hip hop, folk, comedy, punk, metal, and more. The tenth anniversary of FFF Fest is November 6-8 and will feature four stages of music and comedy and a hundred confirmed acts and performances by Jane’s Addiction, ScHoolboy Q, English metal band Venom, a full Wu-Tang Clan performance, D’Angelo and The Vanguard, NOFX, CHVRCHES, Chromeo,Future Islands, Gogol Bordello, as well as a special reunion performance from Dag Nasty, and more.
