Events: Exploring Austin With Kids

We recently featured a new Austin author, Annette Lucksinger, who has written a handy little guide called Exploring Austin with Kids. She has a few family-friendly events coming up where you can not only buy a copy of the guide for yourself but also entertain the kids with crafts, balloon twisting, and more!Exploring Austin with Kids cover

-Book signing at Bob Bullock’s Free First Sunday event on March 2nd from 12:00-3:00

Stop by to meet local author Annette Lucksinger, who will be signing copies of her new family guidebook, Exploring Austin with Kids! Before you explore the Extreme Mammal exhibit, stop by to make your own binoculars to get a better view, or craft a postcard to tell of your adventures! FREE.

- Teddy Bear Picnic and Book signing at Toybrary on March 28th from 10:30-11:30
Bring your favorite teddy bear and picnic snacks for a bear-themed story time! Local author Annette Lucksinger will be signing copies of her new guide, Exploring Austin with Kids, and leading little ones on a bear hunt! FREE.

-Book signing at Westcave Preserve’s Open House on March 30th from 11:00-3:00
Come out during Westcave Preserve’s Spring Open House and Field Day for guided hikes, children’s activities, and a book signing of Exploring Austin with Kids! $5 of each copy will be donated to the Preserve (one of Annette’s favorite spots!). Pack a picnic and stick around for special tours. $10 per adult, FREE for children 12 and under.
